We take our environmental responsibilities seriously. We apply our personal values to the way in which we run our company.
We consider ourselves to be ‘pragmatic greens’. It makes good commercial sense to recycle and reuse whenever possible, to source our materials and services locally and to be as environmentally sensitive as possible. To this end, all of our timber is currently sourced directly from the woodlands surrounding our home - the Royal Forest of Dean.
We utilise the power of solar drying for our log products (the critical finishing process is completed within the more controllable environment of electric kilns).
Our courier company is ‘DPD Local’. Originally 'Interlink Express', this courier company was the very first carbon neutral carrier within Europe and they remain dedicated to making every parcel they deliver carbon neutral.
We consciously try to reuse packaging if at all possible. Orders purchased via our Ebay store, for example, are dispatched within recycled boxes/cardboard whenever possible.
We try to avoid using plastic - to this end, we now no longer supply our 'assembly kits' for our Skulls in blister packs. Instead, Keith creates individual little 'Screwey' characters to transport the screws safely. A personal touch that's a bit of fun, too.
Finally, our workshop heating is generated solely from burning our wood waste and log off-cuts...keeping us toasty warm throughout the winter!
