Our wooden Log Wall Tiles are a versatile and unusual wall covering - use them to cover entire walls or make feature panels with them. They are just what you need if you have a shallow or fake fireplace that you'd like to fill with a stack of logs. Use these tiles to create the illusion of a log store either by bonding them directly to the rear wall of the alcove or a backing panel that can be fixed into the recess.

The log slices should be arranged to fit as closely together as possible, ensuring gaps are kept to a minimum between the tiles for the most convincing look - try not to skimp on quantity! If the background is painted a dark colour, such as charcoal grey or soft black, your eye is tricked into thinking that you have full length logs stacked into place. Installation is very little effort for maximum impact. We suggest keeping the 'half' tiles (one tile split into two) supplied in each bundle for filling small gaps around the edges of the 'stack'.

Ordering enough tile bundles in one purchase is recommended (calculation advice is given further below), to ensure that there are no 'batch' differences. If you prefer to spread your purchase over several transactions, we strongly suggest waiting until you have all tiles needed for your project, then mixing all of the bundles thoroughly together, before beginning the installation. This will avoid any obvious 'batch differences' being apparent.

The 2.5cm thick log discs have been cut from our locally sourced peeled softwood log stock. The diameters of the tiles vary from 4cm to 15cm - beautiful random patterns will be created when they are adhered to your walls. We are unable to control the colour of the log tiles. This is down to the natural colouring of the tree that the timber is cut from - this natural colouring varies and can be anything from light/pale wood to slightly reddish in colour, some logs might have a darker centre.

As with all of our wood products, these logs should NOT be stacked or displayed against, or adjacent to, any fire or burner that may cause the logs to get hot.

One bundle (30cm x 30cm) will contain approximately 12-15 log disc tiles, including one disc that's been split into two to create a pair of halves. These half-tiles are ideal for filling any gaps around the edges of your installation.

Please note: Our tiles are designed to be bonded to a flat surface using a gap-filling adhesive, such as 'No Nails' or similar (not included). Using this type of glue allows for a few seconds of 'wiggle room' to ensure a perfect fit. They are ideal for covering large wall spaces quickly, easily and cost effectively.

HOW MANY WILL YOU NEED? Once you have determined accurate measurements of your space that you would like to fill (or cover) with Log Tiles, please use one of these formulae to calculate how many bundles you will need:
In CENTIMETRES:
HEIGHT x WIDTH / 900 = total number of bundles needed (Height multiplied by Width divided by 900 = bundles needed)
In INCHES:
HEIGHT x WIDTH / 144 = total number of bundles needed (Height multiplied by Width divided by 144 = bundles needed)
