Our heart-shaped log slice Mosaic is just right for you to display above your bed or sofa, or to make a statement in that space above your fireplace (away from heat). Our modern rustic wall art is a unique way to give a gift of love or to display your affection on your wall. Our hearts make for an unusual engagement or wedding present for a special couple, or indeed as an unexpected fifth wedding anniversary gift (five years = WOOD)!

Every Log Mosaic is created using our neat log slices that are of varying thicknesses - this creates a sculptural surface that casts interesting shadows when light falls across it. You can highlight this effect by using up- or down- lights to illuminate the artwork.

We do not import our products and they are not mass-produced. Each and every product (from our decorative logs, log wall tiles and wall art to our animal skulls and stick men) is created by Keith in our workshops, in the heart of The Royal Forest of Dean, UK. The timber for our products is sourced locally from the surrounding woodlands. The log tiles for our wall art are fully dried, cleaned and hand finished by Keith before being securely bonded to a 9mm thick FSC Certified hardwood ply board.

Each Heart Mosaic is created individually, to order - this means that every one will be unique (log slice arrangements will therefore differ from piece to piece).

Our Hearts measure approximately 60cm wide. A wall hanging hook is sited on the reverse of the artwork; the hook is 'centred' according to the weight distribution of the item, therefore the hook may not necessarily be placed perfectly in the middle. It will be positioned to ensure that the decoration hangs straight on a flat wall. We've added little protective pads to the reverse of the artwork. Our Log Mosaics are heavy - do not use a picture nail to display on your wall; ensure you use a screw with a rawlplug and that the screw is located properly inside the key-hole, not caught on the outer edge of the hook.

A LITTLE NOTE ABOUT WOOD COLOURING: Our log slice stock varies in colour, because it is a natural product; this can be anything from very light/pale wood to a reddish tinge - it all depends on the natural colouring of the tree trunk that the logs are cut from. These are a mixture of softwood; the majority of timber used is Douglas Fir, but other species may be included within your Mosaic.

Our Hearts are also suitable to either decorate your wedding venue or use as a backdrop for photographs; please note we are always willing to create our Mosaics in virtually any size (or colour/finish) for you - simply contact us to discuss your requirements.
